Nearly Half Of AL City Dwellers Want To Move To Suburbs: Report
A recent study reveals that nearly half of Alabama's city dwellers would rather live in the suburbs.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — Some people prefer to live in an urban surrounding rather than in the suburbs or in a rural area, but a recent study revealed that many of Alabama's city dwellers would prefer to live in a less urban environment.
Home and office organization website Unclutterer.com recently surveyed thousands of Alabama residents and found that more than a third of Alabamians (39 percent) admit they are bored of where they live, and want to move somewhere else, and 43 percent of city dwellers in Alabama now want to move out to the suburbs, or out the country.
"The pandemic has made a lot of us look at things differently," said Alexander Brown from Unclutterer.com. "Moving home is a big undertaking but worth it for the benefits you get if you choose more space and a more relaxed pace of life. Packing up a household can be hard, but it’s a good opportunity to get rid of all the things you don’t need any more, and organizing your new space."

In general, 39 percent of respondents said if they decide to move homes now, the biggest priority would be more outdoor space. This was followed by 30 percent saying their biggest need would be for high speed broadband - essential when you consider how many people are working from home due to the pandemic.
Also 20 percent of people would want a larger kitchen, and 11 percent say their priority would be a study to work in during the day.
