VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — A cookie shop plans to open in Vestavia Hills this summer, as the franchise Crumbl Cookies looks to open in the former Rite Aid building in the Vestavia Hills City Center. A Birmingham Business Journal report said the franchise expects to hire up to 50 employees.

The Vestavia location will be the second Alabama Crumbl location after a store recently opened in Madison. The Utah-based company has more than 200 stores nationwide.

Crumbl Cookies serves six flavors each week, four of which are decided by its weekly rotating menu. The store offers take out and delivery as well.
