Operation Christmas Child To Hold Kickoff Event, Workshop

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — The Operation Christmas Child Birmingham Area North Team will hold a kickoff and workshop as the team prepares for the upcoming Christmas season. The event will include a kickoff and workshop, and will be hosted by Mountain Brook Community Church in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 3-5 p.m.
Operation Christmas Child is an organization that packages shoeboxes of toys and other necessities to be sent around the world to children in need. Operation Christmas Child has delivered more than 146 million boxes to children in more than 160 countries and territories since 1993.
The event is open to community members of all ages who might be interested in packing a shoebox this year. Door prizes will be given to those who bring the most new shoebox packers.
