Pregnancy Resource Center Opens New Facility In Vestavia

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - The Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Resource Center dedicated its new education building last month, thanks to a gift by by Wales Goebel Ministry. The donation was made in 2016 and the new building opened in November of this year.

A report by the Birmingham Business Journal said the Wales Goebel Family Education Center will be home base for its rapidly growing programs for family support and counseling. Family programs include one-on-one mentoring for expectant and new parents, childbirth and baby-care classes, relationship counseling and support groups.

Sav-A-Life was founded in 1980 by Wales and Jean Goebel to help women with unplanned pregnancies and is now the largest crisis-pregnancy center in the Birmingham metro area, serving nearly 10,000 clients in 2017.
