Rebels Look To Make Run At Playoffs
Vestavia may have dropped out of the ASWA top 10, but with a strong second half, the Rebels may clinch a playoff bid.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — As the second half of the 2019 high school football season gets under way this week, Vestavia finds itself with a chance to make a postseason appearance. Posting a 4-1 record on the year far, the Rebels can secure a spot in the playoffs with some key wins in the coming weeks.
The Rebels shutout Shades Valley last week 17-0, but face a brutal stretch of games that will determine just how long their season will last.
With a game at Hewitt-Trussville this week, the Rebels then host top-ranked Thompson and 4th-ranked Hoover in consecutive weeks. Wins in both of those games will all but clinch a playoff birth for Vestavia, but a loss would mean the Rebels would need some help.
