Salad Restaurant Chain Coming To The Summit

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A chain of salad restaurants will have a new location in the Birmingham area soon, as Chopt Creative Salad Co. looks to open in The Summit.

The Summit restaurant will be the chain's first Alabama location. A post on the company's Facebook page said the restaurant will open at 331 Summit Blvd., but did not specify an exact opening date.

The company said it is hiring now for the Birmingham location. "We are hiring ALL positions especially Salad Maker & Dishwasher," the post said. "Simply apply to be contacted for an interview!"

Potential employees can apply via the Chopt website.

Chopt also stressed in its post that the restaurant has strict COVID-19 policies in place.

"We have barriers in place to protect our employees and guests," the company said. "We do employee health checks throughout the day. We provide daily PPE equipment to our staff. We have procedures in place to clean and sanitize high traffic areas throughout the day."

Chopt currently has locations in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Washington, D.C.
