Sinkhole Closes Down Vestaview Lane

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - A Birmingham Water Works truck found itself stuck in a sinkhole on Vestaview Lane in Vestavia, causing the Vestavia Hills Police Department to shut the road down Friday. Reports from VHPD indicate there is a water main break under the road.

A post by WVTM on Twitter shows the truck caught in a large hole in the road, and while police are on the scene, they have not announced when the road will re-open for traffic.
