The Summit Kicks Off Holiday Season With Lights Up Parade

The Summit shopping center will light up for the holidays during the annual holiday parade Nov. 22.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Seeing Christmas lights and holiday decorations around town help usher in the holiday season, and The Summit shopping center will do just that Nov. 22 with the center's annual Lights Up holiday parade and event.

The Lights Up parade begins at 6 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, winding through The Summit and ending at REI. Guests are encouraged to come early to grab a spot along the parade route and to enjoy live performances beginning at 5 p.m.. The parade will end with a grand fireworks show around 6:30 p.m.

5-5:30 p.m. – Performance by Birmingham Children’s Theater
5:30-6 p.m. – Performance by Miss Iron City, Mackenzie Ward, & Miss Iron City Outstanding Teen, Lauren McCombs
7-8 p.m. – Free Photo Booth with Santa sponsored by Mountain High Outfitters
