On Tap Sports Cafe closed its the Lakeview District and will reopen in the Liberty Park development.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — A local sports bar franchise will be relocating to Vestavia Hills in the near future. On Tap Sports Cafe closed its the Lakeview District and will reopen in the Liberty Park development.
On Tap has multiple locations in the Birmingham area, including Inverness, Fultondale and at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover. The closed location had been a Lakeview staple for 15 years as the district has welcomed multiple development like Slice Pizza & Brewhouse, Hattie B's Hot Chicken, Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint, Cashio's Meatball Market, a new housing development and many others.
The location closed on Monday, Oct. 2, with the end of the franchise's lease coming in November.

"Thanks to everyone for your years of love and support at our Lakeview location, but unfortunately, we're moving," the owners wrote in a notice on the door of the bar. "Our current lease has expired, and our building is scheduled to be redeveloped by its current property owners.
"Nevertheless, we are constructing a new 6,000-square foot building in Liberty Park and will be opening next year in their new 700-acre development, next to the new Publix.
