Vestavia Hills Board Of Education Calls Special Meeting
The board will discuss a potential real estate purchase during the executive session.

VESTAVIA HILLS — The Vestavia Hills Board of Education has called a special meeting for Wednesday, Oct. 4, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Board of Education Central Office at 1204 Montgomery Highway. The board will discuss a potential real estate purchase during the executive session.
In August, the board signed a letter of intent to purchase Gresham Elementary School from Jefferson County, though the board has not yet given any direct indication that the real estate purchase concerns Gresham. The county has been looking to sell the school, which is off of Dolly Ridge Road close to U.S. 280. The school and its surrounding 27 acres were appraised at $6.7 million.
