Vestavia Hills Board Of Education Projects Surplus In 2018 Budget
The board approved its 2018 budget on Sept. 6 after two public work sessions in August.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The Vestavia Hills Board of Education is expecting yet another year of surplus. The board approved its 2018 budget on Sept. 6 after two public work sessions in August.
The 2018 general fund budget projects $70,454,109 in revenue and $69,434,285 in expenditures, over $1 million more than the year prior. The schools will add new faculty positions and allocate more than $95,000 in step raises for employees.
