Vestavia Hills Board Of Education Turns To Alabama Association Of School Boards To Lead Superintendent Search
The Vestavia Hills Board of Education signed a contract with the Alabama Association of School Boards to lead its superintendent search.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Since former Superintendent Sheila Phillips stepped down from her position, the Vestavia Hills Board of Education has been biding its time on what move to make next. During this week's Board of Education meeting, the board signed a contract with the Alabama Association of School Boards to lead its superintendent search.
The AASB is a recruiting agency that also provides training services for school boards as well as advocating for education administration, and has led searches for multiple school systems in Alabama, including Jefferson County. The Vestavia Board did not elect to use a recruiting service in its 2014 hiring process.
