VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The first order of business at the Sept. 25 meeting of the Vestavia Hills City Council had to do with pizza, games and wine. The council approved a wine license for the Chuck E. Cheese's in the Old Towne shopping center.

Vestavia Hills Police Chief Dan Rary signed the license during the meeting and found no issue with the request.

A manager of the location said at the meeting that requests from parents for wine have been coming in for a while, but that the popular kids' restaurant chain has rigid rules when it comes to alcohol service. Adult customers must present a valid ID in order to purchase a drink, and is limited to two drinks per visit.
