VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The new school year begins soon, believe it or not, as schools in Vestavia Hills prepare for students to return to the classrooms in a few weeks.

First day for students: August 8

Labor Day: September 2

End of first grading period: October 10

Veterans Day: November 11

Thanksgiving holidays: November 27-29

End of semester: December 19

Winter Break: December 20-January 3

Presidents Day: January 17

End of third grading period: March 13

Spring Break: March 23-27

End of fourth grading period: May 20
