Vestavia Hills City Schools Named To AP District Honor Roll
Only two public school districts in Alabama were named to the honor roll.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The College Board, the organization responsible for the administering of Advanced Placement exams, named Vestavia Hills City School to the 2017 Advanced Placement District Honor Roll, according to the school district's website.
The honor is bestowed on school systems that both increase access to AP courses while simultaneously increasing scores. In the 2016-17 school year, 446 VHHS students completed 1,007 AP exams, an increase from the previous year from 359 students taking 928 exams, and 83 percent of students earned a 3 or higher. AP exams are scored on a scale from 1 to 5, 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest.
VHHS currently offers 28 AP courses to its students.
