Vestavia Hills City Schools To Offer Flu Vaccine In September
Students can get their flu shots during the week of September 30 at Vestavia schools.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — With the start of a new school year comes football, new classes, new teachers and, unfortunately, flu season. Vestavia Hills City Schools announced they will try to get ahead of the season by offering flu shots to students.
The school system, in association with Alabama Immunization Partners, will offer the influenza vaccine to all students during the week of September 30.
Parents who would like for their students to receive the flu vaccine are asked complete the required form and return it to the student's school nurse no later than Friday, September 13.

Parents must also include a copy of the student’s insurance card with the form. The flu vaccine is only available by injection this year.
