Vestavia Hills High School Theatre To Present 'Almost, Maine'

Vestavia Hills High School Theatre will present "Almost, Maine," from Thursday, Oct. 12, to Saturday, Oct. 14.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Vestavia Hills High School Theatre will present “Almost, Maine,” from Thursday, Oct. 12, to Saturday, Oct. 14. "Almost, Maine" is an off-Broadway play by John Cariani about love and loss.

The play, which comprises nine vignette scenes about people in the fictional town of Almost, first showed in 2004 and has become a popular choice for high school theatre programs for its ability to highlight different actors. Fifteen students star in the show, and there are plenty more working behind the scenes.

The play will run three nights, with performances beginning at 7 p.m. in the school's auditorium. Admission is $7. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Birmingham Patch morning newsletter.)
