Vestavia Hills To Host McCallum Trail Ribbon Cutting

The trails were first pitched to the city in January 2017 to offer hikers and bikers opportunities to walk and ride a little closer to home.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The City of Vestavia will officially unveil its new trails at McCallum Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The event will take place at the park on Dec. 9 at 11 a.m.

The trails were first pitched to the city in January 2017 to offer hikers and bikers opportunities to walk and ride a little closer to home. The paths run about a mile long and are made of dirt, unlike the gravel paths through the rest of the park, and are designed to be a bit more rugged.

The ceremony will take place on the pedestrian bridge near the start of the trail.
