Vestavia Residents Receive Degrees, Honors From Wofford College

Wofford College honored graduates of its 2021 class with degrees and awards, including some Vestavia Hills residents.

SPARTANBURG, SC — Wofford College awarded 364 degrees to 350 graduates during the 2021 Commencement exercises May 16, and awarded specific honors to students May 14. graduates and an honors recipient included some Vestvia Hills residents,

Vestavia Hills resident Margaret Grace Adcock received a bachelor of arts degree majoring in accounting and finance with a minor in economics, summa cum laude, honor graduate.

Adcock also received the James Edwin Proctor Award, presented to a member of the senior class for outstanding achievement in the field of finance.

Other area students receiving degrees from Wofford include:

  • Frances Kendrick McFadden of Mountain Brook: Bachelor of arts degree majoring in economics with a minor in history.
  • William Hurst Moore of Vestavia Hills: Bachelor of arts degree majoring in finance with minors in accounting and studio art, cum laude.
  • Patrick Taylor Thornton of Birmingham: Bachelor of arts degree majoring in Spanish and a bachelor of science degree majoring in psychology, cum laude.
