Vestavia PD Prescription Drug Take-Back Day: What To Know
The Vestavia Hills Police Department will safely dispose of any unwanted or expired prescription drugs Saturday.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The Vestavia Hills Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Agency's Prescription Drug Take-Back Day event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..
The VHPD has set up two locations in the city for this event:
- City Hall location, 1032 Montgomery Highway
- Cahaba Heights East Precinct location, 3241 Cahaba Heights Road.
This event will give the public an opportunity to dispose of any unused and/or unwanted prescription medications, as well as over-the-counter medications.

Accepted items include tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharp objects, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.
