Where To Get Outside In Vestavia Hills
Summer is almost here, so it is time to get outside. Here are some places in Vestavia where the family can enjoy some outdoor fun.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL - When school is out, parents and kids are usually looking for activities outdoors in the warm weather, and Vestavia Hills has no shortage of options for outdoor fun. Several parks and public recreation spots, including many with playgrounds, picnic tables, trails and much more.
Here are just some of the favorite spots in Vestavia for outdoor fun:
Boulder Canyon Nature Trail, 1289 Montgomery Hwy: This is a wooded hike hidden along US 31. The trail begins at the Library in the Forest and ends at Vestavia Hills Elementary Central. Boulder Canyon Nature Trail was preserved through the volunteer efforts of Keep Vestavia Green in partnership with the City of Vestavia Hills.

Byrd Park, Tyson Rd: Byrd Park features a walking track and a playground. There are also picnic areas in the park.
Wald Park, Civic Center and Pool, 1973 Merryvale Road: Wald Park features five baseball fields, a walking track, the Vestavia Hills Swimming Pool, picnic areas, the Civic Center, the Senior’s Lodge, and the Community Playground.

Liberty Park Sports Complex, 4700 Sicard Hollow Rd: Two playgrounds, one at the soccer fields and one at the softball fields.
McCallum Park, 3332 Rosemary Lane: A passive park with pavilions, trails, restrooms, and an open field that caters to lazy days at the park. There are grills to cook over open flames, and Little Shades Creek meanders through the park.
