3 Arizonans Among 80 Arrested During Riot At U.S. Capitol
At least three Arizonans were among the 80 rioters arrested during the siege at the U.S. Capitol Wednesday, the Metropolitan police said.

ARIZONA — At least three people from Arizona were arrested after a mob of President Donald Trump's supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol Wednesday as lawmakers were voting to count the country's Nov. 3 Electoral College votes.
One person was shot and killed inside the Capitol and three others died of other causes during the hours-long siege, the Metropolitan Police Department said. A Capitol police officer died of his injuries sustained in the riot Thursday. In all, 80 people were arrested and authorities are working to locate hundreds of others who took part.
The events triggered Washington. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to order a 12-hour citywide curfew for the city beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. That order has since been extended to Jan. 21, the day after President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.

Metropolitan police are also asking for the public's help in identifying rioters that have not yet been arrested. The first man on the list has been identified by the Arizona Republic as Jake Angeli, a noted QAnon supporter from Phoenix, who is accused of unlawful entry at the U.S. Capitol. QAnon is a conspiracy theory that believes that Trump is working to bring down sex-traffickers in elite circles of government.
His cousin, Adam Angeli, also confirmed his identity to CNN.
Angeli, who has been present at multiple protests against Arizona's election results, entered the Capitol dressed as a shaman with a horned, furry bonnet. He has been a fixture at multiple Phoenix rallies, including several outside the Maricopa County vote-counting center, dressed in the same outfit.
Angeli spoke with a reporter from Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail and said that police asked him to leave without arresting him.
I spoke with Jake Angeli, the QAnon guy who got inside the Senate chamber. He said police eventually gave up trying to stop him and other Trump supporters, and let them in. After a while, he said police politely asked him to leave and let him go without arrest

Both the House and Senate were in the middle of debate regarding Arizona's Electoral College votes when rioters entered the building and lawmakers were forced into a six-hour recess. Congress reconvened late Wednesday to reject the objection; a second objection to Pennsylvania's votes was also rejected.
The violence was condemned by Arizona lawmakers from both political parties.
Overnight, President Donald Trump appeared to acknowledge his defeat.
"Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th," he said in a tweet issued by a staffer. Twitter suspended Trump's account for 12 hours over continued falsehoods about election fraud.
