The Arizona State Fair may be canceled for 2020, but you can still get your fried food fix with a new drive-thru.

ARIZONA — The Arizona State Fair may be canceled this year, but foodies can still get their fill of fair food in 2020.

The state fair will begin offering a drive-thru option full of fried food on Friday. It will be open throughout the weekend and will also be offered on Oct. 2, 3 and 4. It will run from noon to 9 p.m.

"To provide guests with the best experience possible, while keeping health and safety top of mind, all Fair Food Drive-Thru items are intended to be enjoyed in your car or home," the state fair said in a statement. "All service will be drive-up only and foodies are asked to stay in their vehicles to maintain social distancing."

The state fair was canceled in August for the first time in over 100 years. Last year, the fair boasted over a million visitors and was a huge financial boon for the state. The economic impact averages over $90 million annually, according to a statement on the state fair's website.

Tentative plans are in place to hold the fair in 2021 from Oct. 7 through Oct. 31.
