ARIZONA — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey is calling for a special session of the Arizona Legislature to deal with wildfires raging across the state.
Ducey, in a Twitter thread on Thursday, said that the state needs to come up with a plan to contain the fires, while also making sure to stay ahead of flooding and other incidents that may occur during the summer monsoon.
"We’ll continue to focus on protecting our communities currently facing wildfires, and ALL Arizona communities," Ducey tweeted. "It’s critical that we address our challenges today and continue to invest in the tools and technology that fire professionals need to prevent fires moving forward."
