ACROSS ARIZONA — If you love food and consider yourself a foodie, Arizona might not be the place for you, according to a new report by WalletHub. The personal finance website included nine Arizona cities in its ranking of Best Foodie Cities in America, but none of the locations cracked the top 30 overall.
The list for 2019 compared more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities across 30 key metrics of foodie-friendliness, including restaurants per capita, the number of local cooking schools, the presence of Michelin-Starred restaurants and more.
Each relevant metric was listed with its corresponding weight, and the cities were subsequently graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing maximum food-friendliness.
