Fortune 500: These Arizona Companies Make 2020 List

Fortune Magazine has released its annual list of the 500 top companies in America, and 10 of those companies are based in Arizona.

Fortune ranks companies by total annual revenue and, for the eighth consecutive year, Walmart topped the 2020 list, followed by Amazon and Exxon Mobil. Apple and CVS Health ranked No. 4 and No. 5, rounding out the top five spots on the list.

To put the rankings in context, the 500 companies on the 2020 list make up two-thirds of the total U.S. gross domestic product.

The 500 companies employ 29.2 million people worldwide.

• 522: Microchip Technology: $5,349.5
• 560: Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings: $4,844
• 563: Carlisle: $4,811.6
