The Arizona House passed a referendum to revoke the state's ban on in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants on the ballot Monday.

PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona House of Representatives voted to allow a bill on whether to end the state's ban on providing in-state tuition to undocumented immigrants to go on the ballot in 2022.
The bill, SCR-1044, passed the chamber, 33-27, allowing Arizona voters to decide whether undocumented immigrants and DACA recipients who have graduated high school in Arizona are allowed to pay in-state tuition.

Rep. @almaforarizona dedicated her vote to the many people and friends in her community who want to come out of the shadows and contribute and to the many students who have come to the #AZleg to talk to members about this issue. #SCR1044 #Dreamer pic.twitter.com/7MqYSNwuCc

23.8% of area immigrants earned a Bachelor's Degree or higher. Undocumented immigrants contributed the 4th-highest economic output over that same period. That's why @GPLInc supports #SCR1044 and in-state tuition for DACA recipients. https://t.co/IRNkNlnmgn https://t.co/y88JYkb7RX
