Valerie Bertinelli Bakes With Military Families And USO Arizona

USO Arizona hosted a virtual cookie demonstration and live Q&A with Bertinelli in honor of Month of the Military Child.

On April 26, USO Arizona hosted a virtual cookie demonstration and live Q&A with Golden Globe award-winning actress and best-selling author Valerie Bertinelli, along with her friend Nemo Tsai of Kids Baking Championship for military families in honor of Month of the Military Child, celebrated annually during the month of April. About 20 active duty personnel, spouses, children, and USO volunteers participated in-person at the Fort Huachuca Demonstration Kitchen. The Demonstration Kitchen, sponsored by Fry's Food Stores, allowed the participants to view a USO volunteer baking cookies alongside Valerie Bertinelli and Nemo Tsai as they baked along virtually.

The cookie demonstration with Valerie Bertinelli and Nemo Tsai is part of the USO's Military Virtual Programming (MVP), a series dedicated to positive, uplifting digital engagements for troops and military families. As part of USO MVP series, celebrities and partners around the world conduct virtual base visits, engage in live discussions, offer live performances and make one-on-one calls with service members. MVP programs also include pre-screening events, classes, Q&As and more in a wide variety of topics for military spouses, transitioning service members and military kids.
