1 Dead, 2 Injured In Shooting At Apartment Complex In Phoenix

Three people were found with gunshot wounds near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road.

PHOENIX — One man was killed, and two people injured, when shots were fired early Saturday morning in northwest Phoenix.

Police found three people, two men and one woman, with gunshot wounds when they responded to the scene in the common area of an apartment complex near 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road just before 5 a.m. Saturday.

One of the men was pronounced dead by Phoenix firefighters at the scene, Phoenix Police Sgt. Ann Justus said in a news release. He had not been identified by authorities as of noon on Sunday. The surviving man and woman have both been hospitalized, and were in critical condition earlier on Sunday.
