4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Canceled In Phoenix

Phoenix's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate Independence Day.

PHOENIX, AZ — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.

Phoenix’s fireworks, parades and 5K events may have been canceled, but there are still several fireworks shows around the Valley, including ones in Anthem, Scottsdale, Glendale, Goodyear, Chandler, and Gilbert, to name a few.

What: Phoenix Rising FC vs. LA Galaxy II
Where: Casino Arizona Field (19593 S 48th St, Chandler)
When: 7:30 p.m., July 3

Phoenix Rising will have post-match fireworks for the team's home match against LA Galaxy II on July 3. Tickets for the match range in price from $20 to $93 per seat, and can be purchased here.

What: Arizona Diamondbacks vs. San Francisco Giants postgame fireworks

Where: Chase Field (401 E Jefferson St, Phoenix)

When: 7:10 p.m. July 3, 6:10 p.m. July 4

The Arizona Diamondbacks are once again hosting the team's postgame fireworks spectacular this year, with postgame fireworks on back-to-back nights, July 3 and 4. Tickets for the contests cost between $29 and $225 per ticket, and can be purchased here.


What: Anthem Independence Day Celebration

Where: Community Park (41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem)

When: 6-10 p.m., July 3

The north Phoenix community of Anthem is celebrating July 4th with fireworks, fun rides, water slides and food. Families can bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to enjoy the fireworks show. The show is pending approval of the local fire department, with any changes to the show's schedule being posted on Anthem's website prior to the event. What: Subaru Presents Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration

Where: WestWorld of Scottsdale (16601 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale)

When: 5-9:30 p.m., July 4

The city of Scottsdale's eighth-annual Subaru Presents Scottsdale 4th of July Celebration is returning to WestWorld, with the largest fireworks show in Scottsdale history planned. Tickets for the July 4th event range from $26 for general admission parking to $41 in advance for the VIP backyard barbecue experience, with all proceeds benefiting Feeding America, the city said. Additionally, those that purchase the VIP option at this year's event will get to enjoy the show inside the air-conditioned North Hall of WestWorld, with buffet-style barbecue and live "yacht rock" music. Those that purchase the $41 Polo Field parking option can "BYOP," or Bring Your Own Party, with additional space surrounding each space for patrons to bring their own food and beverage. This year's 4th of July Celebration runs from 5-10 p.m., with tickets available at the city's event website.


What: Chandler's July 4th Fireworks Spectacular

Where: Tumbleweed Park (2250 S. McQueen Road, Chandler)

When: 7-9:30 p.m., July 4

The city of Chandler is hosting its annual July 4th fireworks show at Tumbleweed Park, with the only charge being $5 for parking. The drive-in style event allows the public to enjoy a fireworks show from their car, maximizing space and safety. Parking passes went on sale to the public Friday. What: Gilbert 4th of July Celebration

Where: Gilbert Regional Park (3005 E. Queen Creek Road, Gilbert)

When: 5:30-9:15 p.m., July 4

The city of Gilbert is hosting its annual July 4th Fireworks Spectacular, with food trucks and live music from GARTH LIVE. The fireworks show, weather permitting, will begin at 8:45 p.m., running 20 minutes in duration. Outside food is allowed, with lawn seating available. What: City of Peoria's All-American Festival

Where: Peoria Sports Complex (16101 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria)

When: 5-10 p.m., July 4

The city of Peoria is hosting its All-American Festival, with live music from Micky and the Motorcars and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. There will be a cornhole tournament, in addition to food and beer concessions, with the fireworks display beginning at 9:15 p.m., weather permitting. Seating is on the stadium's lawn. Attendees can bring snacks and food items, as well as water, soda, blankets and lawn chairs. Glass containers, outside alcohol, pets, firearms, fireworks, canopies, umbrellas, tents, skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, fireworks and grills are not allowed. What: Surprise 38th annual 4th of July Celebration

Where: Mark Coronado Park (15850 N. Bullard Ave., Surprise)

When: 6-9 p.m.

The town of Surprise is hosting a fireworks show on July 4th that is free with a canned food donation. The event features live music by Stephen P and Music II Music, in addition to a bevy of food truck options. More information on the event can be found here.


What: Goodyear Star Spangled Fourth

Where: Goodyear Ballpark (1933 S. Ballpark Way, Goodyear)

When: 6-10 p.m., July 4

Goodyear's annual July 4th fireworks show returns in 2021 , with live music from Chauncey Jones and a zipline that flies over the ballpark. There will also be wet and dry bounce houses and slides for family-friendly entertainment, in addition to giveaways, and the biggest fireworks show in Goodyear's history. What: Avondale Light Up the Sky 4th of July Celebration

Where: Festival Fields (101 E. Lower Buckeye Road, Avondale)

When: 5-10 p.m., July 4

The city of Avondale, Avondale Toyota and Phoenix Raceway are teaming up to host an Independence Day fireworks show. The night's fireworks event runs 25 minutes, with VIP passes running $50 per adult, or $30 per child, which includes BBQ and other goodies. What: City of Maricopa Great American 4th

Where: Copper Sky Regional Park (44345 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Maricopa)

When: Noon-9 p.m., July 4

The city of Maricopa is hosting a day-long July 4th bash, featuring the Great American Tailgate, which kicks off at noon. There is also a VIP pool party from 5-8:30 p.m., and live music from GLOW Dart Boogie, Highway 85 Band and a performance by Vince Morgan Freestyle Motorcross. What: Arizona Celebration of Freedom Drive-In Fireworks Show

Where: Fiesta Mall (1425 W. Southern Ave., Mesa)

When: 9-9:30 p.m., July 3

The city of Mesa is adapting its yearly Arizona Celebration of Freedom Fireworks Show to a drive-in format in 2021, with patriotic music available via 94.5 KOOL-FM. The free event takes place in the parking lots of Mesa's Fiesta Mall. For more information on the show, visit the event's website.
