The Arizona Department of Health Services reports 497 new COVID-19 cases and 21 deaths on Tuesday

PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona Department of Health Services reported 497 new COVID-19 cases and 21 additional deaths on Tuesday.
The additions bring Arizona's total number of COVID-19 cases to-date to 833,878 with 16,574 deaths statewide.
In today's AZDHS COVID-19 dashboard update, the state of Arizona had 743 COVID-19 inpatients, the second-lowest level since Oct. 18. The number of Arizonans in ICU care statewide was 206 on Monday, the lowest since Oct. 30.

The number of Arizonans that had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine rose to 2,590,447 on Tuesday, with 1,007,600 being fully vaccinated against the virus.
The COVID-19 testing positive rate was 5 percent out of 2,189 tests this week, matching the percentage positive rate from last week.

In other COVID-19 news on Tuesday, data from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore shows that around 120.36 million cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed worldwide, with 2,663,188 deaths worldwide. In the United States, there have been around 29.5 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and 535,698 deaths.
