Avelo Airlines Offering $19 Flights From Phoenix To Burbank
Startup Avelo Airlines will charge $19 introductory fares from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport to Burbank.

PHOENIX, AZ — Low-cost startup Avelo Airlines is honoring its debut in the Valley with a whopper of a deal for travelers.
That's because the airline, which began service into Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport on Monday, is charging $19 for roundtrip tickets between the East Valley airport and Hollywood Burbank Airport.

The carrier is what's known as an 'ultra low-cost carrier,' charging fees of $4 and up for selecting a seat, in addition to $10 for priority boarding and checking a bag and $35 for a carry-on bag.

The airline also allows fliers to bring their pets with them, charging $95 for four-legged family members that can fit in a 14 x 9 x 9.5 carrier.
