AZ State Vaccine Sites Opening To All 16+ Starting Wednesday

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey says state-run COVID-19 vaccination sites will begin offering vaccines to those 16 and older in three counties.

PHOENIX, AZ — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey announced that state-run COVID-19 vaccination sites in Maricopa, Pima and Yuma counties are expanding to those 16 and older on Wednesday.

Ducey said in a tweet on Monday morning that vaccine appointments will be made available in the three counties at 8 a.m., with a goal of vaccinating as many Arizonans as possible.

As of Monday morning, some 1,831,456 Arizonans had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, with 1,136,413 in the state being fully vaccinated against the virus, according to the Arizona Department of Health Services' dashboard.
