Bergman Murder Suspect Has Case Dismissed Again: Report
Mishandling of potentially exculpatory records led to the judge dismissing the case, a report says.
PHOENIX, AZ — Jon Clark, the ex-boyfriend of Kiera Bergman accused of her murder, has had his case dismissed, according to a report. ABC15 reported the judge who dismissed the case cited the prosecutor's failure to disclose important evidence in a timely manner.
Clark has been indicted for the murder twice, the report says, on circumstantial evidence. The Maricopa County attorney can re-indict him.
The trial has been pushed back multiple times. The judge involved in the case said the state has mishandled potentially exculpatory Silent Witness records, according to the ABC report.
