FBI Seeks Phoenix's 'Bandaged Bandit' Bank Robber

The FBI is asking anybody who sees this man, whom they have dubbed the Bandaged Bandit, to call them with information.

PHOENIX, AZ — The FBI is warning the public about a man they've dubbed the "Bandaged Bandit," who is accused of multiple armed robberies at multiple banks in the Phoenix area. He's known for robbing banks inside Safeway grocery stores, the warning says.

The FBI says the robber is described as a white Hispanic man 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, about 200 pounds and between 30 and 40 years old. He used a black and gray semi-automatic handgun. He was seen wearing a bandage during one robbery.

According to the FBI, here's a list of robberies the man has committed:

On June 28, 2019, the man walked into a Safeway in Tempe around 10:15 a.m. and robbed the U.S. Bank in the store by giving the teller a demand note and showing his gun.

On July 31, 2019, he walked into a Safeway in Gilbert around 10:20 a.m. and robbed the U.S. Bank using the same method.

On Aug. 29, 2019, he walked into a Safeway in Phoenix around 10:35 a.m. and robbed the U.S. Bank using the same method again.
