PHOENIX, AZ — The Phoenix Suns are a win away from the franchise's first playoff series victory in 11 years.

The Suns, who currently have a 3-2 series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Western Conference quarterfinals, head to the City of Angels Thursday night with a shot at doing just that.

The two sides will square off inside downtown Los Angeles' Staples Center at 7:30 p.m. local time, two nights after the Suns hammered LeBron James and company, 115-85, in Game 5 of the series.

Phoenix's last playoff series victory came in 2010, when beat the Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs, before falling to the Lakers in six games in the Western Conference finals.

Fast-forward 11 years, and head coach Monty Williams' team has a shot at exacting a bit of revenge on the James and the Lakers, who are the defending champions in the 30-team association.

Here's what you need to know ahead of Thursday night's Game 6 between the Suns and Lakers:

How to Watch: The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers will play at 7:30 p.m. MST, with TNT carrying the contest nationally.

Who to Watch: For the Suns, keep an eye on guard Devin Booker, who is averaging 28 points per game during the series. Additionally, it'll be interesting to see whether veteran guard Chris Paul will be able to go at full speed, after re-injuring his shoulder during Tuesday night's Game 5.

For the Lakers, the night will hinge on the shooting of four-time MVP LeBron James, who scored a team-high 24 points in the team's 30-point loss in Phoenix Tuesday. It'll also be interesting to see if do-it-all center Anthony Davis will be able to take the court Thursday night, after missing Game 5 with a groin injury. Davis has averaged 21.8 points per game in the series and is the Lakers second-best scoring option, by far, this season.

Stat to Watch: LeBron James has never lost in the opening round of the NBA's playoffs, going 14-0 with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers. If the Suns win on Thursday night, they'll become the first franchise to dethrone the king, on the court, at least.
