Over 500K Doses Given At State Farm Stadium COVID-19 Vaccine Site

The AZDHS COVID-19 mass-vaccination site at State Farm Stadium has given out more than 500K vaccines, according to Gov. Doug Ducey.

PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona Department of Health Services' COVID-19 mass vaccination site at State Farm Stadium hit a milestone on Monday.

The site has now given out more than 500,000 vaccine doses since opening its doors on Jan. 11.

The total at the home of the Arizona Cardinals is around 20 percent of the state's total number to-date, according to the AZDHS' COVID-19 dashboard.

The site, which opened to the public on Jan. 11, is open to anyone age 55 or older, or that meets the state's essential worker categories.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey voiced his support for the state-run vaccination site on Monday, saying the 24/7, drive-thru facility has fast become a model for the rest of the country.

The State Farm Stadium site has sped up its milestones of-late, going from 100,000 doses in 19 days — roughly 5,263 per day — to 400,000 doses, or 9,090 per day, ever since.
