Phoenix Could Break More Heat Records In October
The National Weather Service in Phoenix said that the city is on track to break yet another heat record in 2020 during the month of October.
PHOENIX — Phoenix is on track to break the record for most 100 degree days in October, beating out the record of 15 days in 1991.
The National Weather Service in Phoenix said the city could break that record — one of the few heat records still in tact this year — as triple-digit temperatures are set to persist throughout the month. October has seen eight triple-digit days so far.
"Still a couple weeks to go as the latest 100°F day in Phoenix is Oct 27th," the weather service tweeted Tuesday.
