Phoenix Dogs That Snarled I-17 Traffic Up For Adoption
They're cute. They're clean. They apparently know their way around town. Now, they can be yours.
PHOENIX, AZ – Say hello to Speedy and Gonzalez. You may not know them but chances are that you have heard of hem. Last month, they snarled traffic on I-17 as they ran free on the interstate.
They were corralled. They were cleaned up. Now, on Saturday, they will be up for adoption at the West Valley location of Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.
Spokesman Jose Santiago says that both dogs are believed to be around five-years-old.

Speedy, in the pink kerchief, is thought to be a Jack Russell mix and Gonzalez is thought to be a Cairn terrier mix.
The dogs will be available staring Saturday morning.

Due to the expected interest, people will be put into a lottery.
The lucky winners will have to pay a $150 adoption fee for each dog..
