PHOENIX, AZ — Food trucks are a fun, different option from the classic night out at a restaurant. There's a simple satisfaction from having the meal brought to you, and many trucks offer tasty alternatives to normal cuisine.

The Daily Meal released its list of "The Best Food Truck in Every State" and a Phoenix food truck took home the top spot in our state.

The food blog considered more than 20,000 trucks throughout the United States and scanned countless reviews from sites such as Yelp, Twitter and Instagram.

At the end of the process, Phoenix's own Emerson Fry Bread food truck was named the very best in Arizona.

"This chewy deep-fried bread is topped with offerings including carne asada, beans and cheese or honey and powdered sugar. Be sure to wash it all down with a prickly pear lemonade," reads the Daily Meal description.

Emerson Fry Bread specializes in Native American cuisine, and centers its entire menu around the iconic bread.

"If traditional restaurants are like full-length novels, then food trucks are novellas — concentrated and poignant," researchers from the Daily Meal said. "The most successful operations boil a specific type of cuisine down to a handful of signature, crowd-pleasing dishes."

The Phoenix based food truck doesn't have a consistent address, but it can be reached at 602-515-8228.
