Phoenix July 4 Homicide Under Investigation
Phoenix Police are investigating a July 4 fatal shooting and ask the public for help identifying a suspect in the homicide.
PHOENIX, AZ — Police are looking for a suspect in a July 4 fatal shooting that sent a man to the hospital with a life-threatening injury but who later died.
The Phoenix Police Department issued a statement Monday saying the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
Phoenix Police responded to the area of 3400 West Whitton Avenue after a shooting was reported around 4 a.m. Sunday, according to Mercedes Fortune, Public Information Sergeant for the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers reportedly found a man with a life-threatening gunshot injury when they arrived. The man was transported to a nearby hospital by Phoenix Fire crews and was later pronounced dead, the police report said.

Police said there is "no viable suspect description at this time and very limited information."
