Pueblo Grande Museum held their annual Teacher's Open House virtually on August 26 to showcase their brand-new virtual programming! This new programming is supported in part by the NEH CARES grant and the Arizona Preservation Foundation. With a new webpage, Pueblo Grande now offers free and fee-based virtual programming for educators and schools. The free programming includes a 10-minute introduction and overview of the site, and two videos from the exhibit galleries. These videos are available on Pueblo Grande’s website and YouTube Channel.
Beginning September 14, you will be able to book the extended fee-based virtual programming which includes 15-20-minute recorded programs that highlight different aspects of the site. There are currently 2 programs available, A Place to Call Home and Designs on Rocks, with more to come later in the Fall. No visit to Pueblo Grande is complete without a hands-on craft, which is why now you can purchase craft kits for your group. Each craft kit includes all the materials necessary for the craft based on your group size, and a step-by-step guide PowerPoint. Craft kits will be available for curbside pickup by appointment only. All fee-based programming can be purchased online through ActiveNet, via e-mail at pueblo.grande.museum.pks@phoenix.gov, or by phone at 602-495-0901.
