Phoenix Police Investigating Apparent Murder-Suicide
Phoenix police said that evidence suggests that a husband shot his wife and then took his own life.
PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after finding a couple, a man and woman, dead inside their home Friday night.
Around 7:15 p.m., police said they responded to a house near New River Road and Circle Mountain Road in reference to an injured person.
When officers arrived and went inside the home, they said they found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds.
Phoenix firefighters arrived and pronounced the man and woman deceased on scene, police said.

During the investigation, detectives said they learned that the man and woman were married and were dealing with marital problems.
Police said that evidence suggests that the husband shot his wife and then took his own life.
According to the police department, the investigation remains ongoing and police are notifying the couple's next of kin.
