Phoenix Police Name 3 Killed In Sunday Crash With Fire Engine
A crash Sunday night between a pickup and a fire engine killed two adults and an infant. Three firefighters were also injured.
PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix Police officials Monday released the name of three people killed Sunday when their pickup truck collided with a fire engine. The crash happened Sunday night around 9:15 by 29th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
Three firefighters were also injured in the crash.
Police say that 20-year-old Kenneth Collins was driving his Ford Ranger eastbound on Bethany when he turned left on to 29th, into the path of the fire engine, which was responding to an emergency call.

Officials say that the fire engine had lights and sirens on at the time as it was traveling westbound on Bethany.
In the truck with Collins was 19-year-old Dariana Serrano, who was sitting in the front with him, and 3-month-old Kenneth Collins, who was buckled into a child seat.

The older Kenneth Collins was pronounced dead at the scene while Serrano and the younger Collins were rushed to a hospital where they both died.
As of Monday afternoon, two of the firefighters had been released from the hospital while the third was being held for observation.
