Southwest Offering $50 Flights From Phoenix Sky Harbor

PHOENIX, AZ — Southwest Airlines is offering one-way flights from Sky Harbor for as low as $49 as part of its end-of-spring sale and 50th birthday celebration.

With every adult in the United States now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, it might be time to think about getting away for a while after spending a year cooped up indoors because of the pandemic. The cheap fares are available from now until 11:59 p.m. Central Time on May 3, according to the airline.

The sale applies to flights in the continental U.S., Puerto Rico and international travel from May 3 through May 26 and Sept. 7 through Nov. 5. The sale also applies to flights to and from Hawaii from May 3 through May 26 and Aug. 9 through Nov. 5.

Flights must be purchased at least 21 days in advance, the airlines said.

The low fares can be bought for flights from Sky Harbor to:

• Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport, $49 each way
• Los Angeles International Airport, $49 each way
• Oakland International Airport, $49 each way
• San Francisco International Airport, $49 each way
• Denver International Airport, $49 each way
• Seattle/Tacoma International Airport, $49 each way
• Palm Springs Airport, $50 each way
• John Wayne Airport, $50 each way
• Burbank Airport, $59 each way
• Sacramento International Airport, $73 each way
• Fresno Airport, $76 each way
• Albuquerque Sunport, $78 each way
• San Jose International Airport, $83 each way
• Portland International Airport, $99 each way
• Reno International Airport, $100 each way

Blackout dates for domestic travel in the continental U.S. are Oct. 11 and Nov. 1, and blackout dates for travel from Hawaii are from Aug. 9 to Aug. 15. The sale does not apply to travel on Fridays and Sundays within the continental U.S.
