PHOENIX — An 17-year-old man was killed in a car crash Saturday night in southwest Phoenix and another man has been charged with his murder.

Phoenix police said Jonathan Felix was the driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox when it collided with a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by 21-year-old Enrique Garcia around 11:35 p.m. near 87th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

Garcia was eastbound in the pickup truck and drove through the red light at the intersection and the truck struck the northbound Equinox, Phoenix Police Department Sgt. Tommy Thompson said Sunday. He showed "signs and symptoms consistent with impairment," police said.
