2 Phoenix Brothers Fight Coronavirus With Handmade Cards
Two Phoenix brothers began making cards for patients suffering from COVID-19 alone in the hospital to spread some cheer during the pandemic.

PHOENIX — Two Valley brothers are creating homemade cards for COVID-19 patients fighting the virus alone in the hospital, spreading joy across Arizona and Navajo Nation from their parents' dining room.
"Basically the mission of our project is to make patients happy and emotionally stable while their families can't visit them during the COVID-19 pandemic," one of the brothers told Fox 10 Phoenix.
Pravneet and Hurshneet, who don't reveal their last names, have named their joyful effort Project Smile AZ. Their goal is to help patients fight loneliness and encourage them to smile during a difficult time.

The brothers said they have sent out over a thousand unique cards thus far and hope to get their community involved as well. Anyone can help, either by sending cards of their own to the brothers' post office box or by donating supplies so the two can continue to create. They hope their mission will eventually extend beyond Arizona's borders to show that a small act of kindness can make a big difference in peoples' lives.
Pravneet and Hurshneet's parents both work as doctors, so they know firsthand how the virus has impacted patients and their families. They wanted to help too, one card at a time.
