PHOENIX, AZ — A Ukranian Antonov An-124 plane in Arizona is certainly not something seen in Phoenix every day, but it was a sight that came into view for those at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Sunday around 2 p.m.
The formerly military transport plane, now part of the commercial market, can carry a 120-ton payload. The aircraft’s internal overhead cranes and “crouching” ability mean it’s ideal for carrying oversized equipment.
