Christian Film Studio Launches In Tempe

A faith-based film studio has opened its doors in Tempe and production is already underway in Arizona on a new film starring Dean Cain.

TEMPE, AZ — A faith-based film studio has launched in Tempe.

JCFilms Studios, a non-profit studio offering the opportunity for Christians to get involved in filmmaking, opened Saturday.

The studio, which has already produced dozens of films, wants to encourage pro-family movies and bring filmmaking to the Valley.

"This is a dream come true. Here is such a wonderful opportunity for people to get involved, " Jason Campbell, president of JCFilms, said in a news release announcing the studio in December.

JCFilms said it will produce approximately a dozen films in 2021 and production is already underway on a film called "Forgiven", starring Dean Cain of "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" fame.

In addition to filmmaking, the studio will also offer acting classes for Valley actors, directors and screenwriters to get hands-on training in the field. JCFilms will also rent out its studio space to other budding filmmakers for a fee.
