Tempe Giving Out Free Pool Passes To Anyone That Donates Water
The city of Tempe will give anyone that donates a case of bottled water a free pool pass. Here's how you can get one.

TEMPE, AZ — With the Valley's first 100-degree day on the way Wednesday, there's never been a more important time to stay cool and well-hydrated.
That's why the city of Tempe has launched its bottled water donation drive, while adding a new twist to entice people to donate.
The city will give out free pool passes to anyone that donates at least one, 24-bottle case of water, valid at Kiwanis, McClintock or Escalante pools during calm water or lap schedules.

The donation drive is happening at Kiwanis Recreation Center, as well as North Tempe Multi-Generational Center and Escalante Community Center. Donations are accepted from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekends at Kiwanis.
North Tempe is accepting donations from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday-Thursday; while Escalante Center is accepting donations from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday-Friday, and noon to 5:30 p.m. on weekends, the city said.

An emergency heat relief station is set up at Salvation Army's Tempe location, at 40 E. University Dr., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the city said.
Additionally, anyone experiencing homelessness can utilize Tempe Community Action Agency's Oasis drop-in center, at 2146 Apache Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Friday.
